personal work | creative outdoor portrait shoot richmond, virginia

This summer I wanted to challenge myself to shoot personal work more often & to create without expectations. My sister, Becky, has been a major muse for me over the last few years and is always up for a trip out to the woods or river to play around with a new concept. For this shoot, I wanted to try shooting in a new location, so we went out to Pocahontas State Park and wandered down some paths until we came to an area that looked fun to shoot in. We had no real plans other than trying out some weird perspectives with a wide angle lens and I brought along some Prism Lens Fx filters to experiment with, as well as a tiny mirror. We spent about 30 min playing around with a few different concepts and these are the results - digital and a few 35mm BTS images thrown in :)
